Standard low season room rate at hotels in Western Europe like Paris or Geneva cost between 70 and 130 Euros per night (2 to 4 stars). Rates are even higher during high seasons and holidays seasons.

Most hotels advertise relatively low prices that might attract customers but omit to mention taxes and breakfast charges. Room rates apply for 2 people; if you want an extra bed you pay more, a lot more. If you need a room for four people, you will need to rent a suite or two separates rooms and prices quickly become ridiculous.
